Today marks the last day of my job in Unilever Singapore.

I served as the department secretary working under 7 bosses and 7 main brands.

Working in an MNC, i met people from other MNCs. Went for meetings and experienced what it feels like working in a big global firm that has its extension all over the world.

I felt underpaid. seriously. i was easily working what a temp wouldnt need to do but what a perm is trusted to complete.

hence, i felt honoured and tired out at the same time.

I enjoyed the different events and activations.

what i didnt like was the amt of work. i had to do everything by myself. thankfully, i have a nice boss who acty helped me through the worst night.

I have nice bosses who gave me movie tickets and a watch and vouchers.

still, because i am a student, i dont mind the hard work since its an opportunity to learn and build my connections.

what is seriously best about this office is the culture. somewhat similar to TKGS where everyone is treated as a family.

there were times that i made mistakes but i am glad that i have passed through. hahas. pretty scary.

i was empowered to do things. i like the feeling though i can feel lost at times.

seriously, i think i had the best job this holiday.

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

it has been a very long week since last last week.

since last last week, i was busy preparing Lifebuoy's Events Ad at Bukit Timah Plaza anddddddd CLEAR men FP presentation.

so on sat, it was LB events ad. It wasnt too crowded neither wasnt there any one. was pretty tiring cos i chose to wear heels. from 9 to 2. tired. then i ruuuuuush all the way from bukit timah to tampines for tuition. ended the day at about 5pm - tired and satisfied.

sun was family's day out.

mon - went to submit my timesheet. second last time gg there. btw, think that my agent left already! hahas.
tues - met up with jy and serene. my oh my. only they can make me laugh. hahaha. like really laugggggggh out from the bottom of my heart. hahas. we ate at nyny. haahahsaas/ then we wanted gelare. but too long a queue. so we went to raffles city starbucks regretting why didnt we stay at nyny for our desserts. so we spend the entire night dicussing when we can meet up again. Hhahahahasas. andd, i was super tired reaching home past midnight. but the stupid coffee was making me wake till about 3.45am. hahahahahas. while waiting for them, i went to mph to read. i read about poodles. =)

so i was super super tired when i when to work on wed. GUESS WHAT? there was an exposion on the third level. so suddenly, when working, lights went off, com went off, completely BLACK.

so i panic as usual. my bosses made fun of me panicking. then HR evacuated us. GUESS WHAT, we had to climb down the stair with our lovely heels. GUESS WHAT storey we had to start from? 16th! wahahas. some took the evacuation as nothing, others took it seriously - me. i held my bosses hands. hahahas. they were nice enough to be there for me.

while waiting for the buiilding's power (btw, it's spore POWER building! hahas, how ironic!) to be restored, we, markting dept went to TCC at centrepoint.

drank my oreo mocha frappe.

 managed to ask lee ken abt his hospitality degree and experience in the hotel industry.

then we had lunch at a thai restaurant, nice!!!!

then gale drove us back.

afterwork, i rushed to novena, only to be disappointed by a unprofessional agent. so i slept at 9pm when i reached home only at abt 7 plus 8. hahahas. sleeping at 9 was acty suggested by my sis.

still tired cos i am sick. still have tuition after work. sick!

cant wait to end work next fri. while there's a tinge of relunctance, overall, i am happy being a student yet again. =) will miss my bosses and i'm thinking of small stuff for them.

great job cos i learnt alot.

i am quite disturbed by what my dad said last night.

as we are all looking forward to my sis's convocation, my mom was saying when it's my turn, she would be an old lady already.

then my dad said, 'wah, 4 more years. dont even know if i'm still alive.'
i told him not to say such stuff but he went 'life is like that.'

i'm felt disturbed and sad because i know it is true that life is like that.

caught kung fu panda with dad and sis before my sis started work.
think that she was the only one who enjoyed. hahas.
i treated my sis and mom to fish and co. yays!

our family went to riverview hotel to eat lunch yesterday. had a great walk after lunch along clark quay, boat quay and raffles place. i enjoyed enjoyed.

the family has been watching lord of the rings and narnia. hahas. very good movies!

anyway, i caught some movie ad in the cinema before kung fu panda started.

1. SING TO THE DAWN - omg, i dont know why i knew it was sing to the dawn once it was on the screen. the ad was a girl singing while there was images of a village, a bridge. Then, my instinct told me it was sing to the dawn. and wwhen the title appeared at the end of the ad! i was thrilled for spotting right.

2. 10 promises to my dog - omg, i teared watching the ad. imagine what if i watched the movie. i think it's really a good film that acty illustrate my fears abt cookie ageing.

i met up with von and maine last....... wed? or tues? meeting jy and serene tml. =)))
cant wait to start school though my income will drop drastically...
hehes, while i am not staying in halls, i already have places to stay in ntu and nus whenever i want. HAHAHAS. lala.

i'm blogging from home and so, yes, i didnt turn up for work today.

i fell (yes, i fell!) last night and hurt my ankle.

i cant walk normally cos i cant put pressure on my ankle/feet.
neither do i think i fractured or break my bones since, i still can moove'it.

but, it's pain.

details of how i fell shall be kept a secret. hahas.
i had this terrible shock when i knew i fell - i knew my leg was.. wrong.

the three days holidays was great. i spent it with family and friends (to the fullest) - hahahahahhasaas.

Rememebered the work-out Miss N taught the school. Learnt the steps during mass pe lessons.

it was much more fun on the actual day. WHY? - cause both TKGS and TKSS had a pact to do the work-out LIVE together. HAHAHASASA.

So, while their speakers were impressive, their people werent. HAHAHSA
they had really good stereo systems to play the music but we didnt.
HOWEVER, hahahahhahsa, while we danced on our side (with the usual TKGIAN spirit - enthusiastic about anything&everything so long as we do it together), THEY DIDNT quite dance. HAHAHHASHAA.

the funniest part wasnt only that they didnt dance, the most hilarious one was that, they stopped and stared at us.

Both boys and girls on the other side were looking at us, so dumbfounded. Their faces were like 'OMG, what the hell are they doing. It's so stupid/uncool to dance to this stupid/uncool work-out.'

On the other side, we were like mad girls, so enthusiastic about the dance the whole school was doing it, together.

HHAHAHASHASa.

So when i was in tp, i met this friend from tkss.

and we did talk about this whole.. aces day work out.

yes, my dog has got a family name because he is part of the family.
and yes, i have a best friend. I (used to) not believe in best friends but now i do. I qn, how close can two friends be - can you share your darkest secret with your bestfriend(BF)? can you not get mad with BF? can you promise a BF relationship that last forever - personally, the ans are ABSOLUTELY NO.

then how one can get a best friend? =)

my dearest poodle (parentage: terrier and poodle. i bet his father was a poodle because cookie is so much of a poodle - elegant, intelligent and has curly locks!) has been with me for (now) 9 years. It's as if i have raised a kid who is now, primary 3.

A kid that doesnt irritate. A kid that is 24/7 adorable!

this fellow is different from the previous pets i have - princess (dog), jackie(dog), some rabbits, some hamsters, a mouse, some fishes, some turtle.

Why different?

1. he has been with us for the longest while. princess was about .. 6 or 7 years.
2. he sees me as his owner when he wants to play/attention/biscuits/poo, when he's sad, happy, jealous. Basically, i am his 'main' owner. (HAHAS. this verdict is self-delcared) - he only look for mom for dinner, sis for her room (HAHAHAS. only she knows what's so useful abt her room), dad for his trip DOWNSTAIRS. hahas (btw, 'DOWNSTAIRS' is a sensitive word at home. the moment you say this sacred word... cookie understands it and he becomes excited about it and will run ard you and jump and pant and dance ard you.) -previous pets did not have such close bonds with me.

wherever i go ard the house, you see him ard me. when i sleep, he sleeps. when i wake up, he wakes up. when i scold him, he doesnt say anything back. When i cry to him, he lends me his body to hug (his shoulders = his back = almost his whole body).

i really understand why sometimes maine doesnt want to be back home early when her parents and siblings are out. It's pretty boring. so when i think of myself alone at home, i realised:

I have NEVER BEEN ALONE AT HOME.

I always have cookie with me.

when it rains, we snugg onto my bed together.
when it's hot, we''ll sit close together, so the fan blows the both of us.
when the aircon is super cold at night, we'll share the comforter.
when there's an orange too big for me to finish, we'll share.
when i drop food on the floor, he's there (to clear it).
when i watch sad/scary movies, i'll get him to be beside.

he acompanied through my mugging nights for,

When i face problems, i talk to him. not in depth, i mean, how much can a dog understand.. I'll just ask him..WHY

hahas, he's has been sooooo long with us/me.. even longer than my closest friends. Or also, we had a friendship longer then some of which i had with other friends. HAHAS.

let me repeat what i have been typing for the past half an hour.. cos i closed the window too quickly when a colleague popped by my desk.

i was deciding if i should take a day off on the 13th june.

if i were to take a day off, it means the loss of 56 bucks. Besides, i would be spending quite a bit. It's a pretty luxurious way to spend my day, of which i do not think i deserve such a break.

but if i were to work on that day, i think i would regret because i planned to spend it with my dear sister. i know i will regret if i dont take off because her holiday is ending.

honestly, 'm pretty sad that i cant spend my holidays with her.

As in, she's having her holidays.
I am also having mine.
but because i am working, i just cant spend this 'joint' holiday with her!

when we were younger, holidays meant a whole load of fun together. It really helps that we had a maid. the freedom. (we werent watched by our parents, AT ALL.)

of what i can remember, we'll go to the lib together - though she goes to the second floor (and act matured only! hahas cos the second floor is for teenagers+adults.. what is a young girl like her doing up there!?!! hahasa)

we'll have afternoon tea together.

we'll play barbie, monopoly, sea (or is it.. sega..) games together. we'll visit the playground. though she plays with the bigger kids while i just play with slides (bigger kids dont include younger kids in their games. dont ask me WHY) 

we'll buy yanyan and the stupid snacks with toys in it from the mama shop. (xiao ding dang choc biscuits)

we'll have lunch together. although she'll read her own books (the book worm series, the spore ghost stories, archie, 8 days) How often now, can we have lunch.. say during a weekday..

it's quite stupid that i'm whining about the fact that i cant do stuf with my sis anymore. (play the sea/sega games, lunch..)
but i know, t they are really really sweet memories of my childhood.
i remembered for my birthday, she stayed up to make this.. masak-masak 'stall' for me. it's a 'stall' made out of card board, money made out of paper...i forgot what is it exactly but i was really having tonnes of fun playing with it. though the whole 'stall' didnt last at all.

as much as my sister has been a large part of my childhood memories, she will continue to be a large part of my life.

after so much so reminiscing, i think i know what to do.

ahh! i have to stop watching PS I LOVE YOU just because it's time for bloody tuition.

My manager is in a dicussion.
Hopefully it will end real soon cos i need her to sign my timesheet before i head off to the agency after my work.
